Packing and Shipping
Seller shall prepare and pack the Goods to prevent damage and deterioration. All charges for preparation, packing, crating, and cartage are included in the price unless separately specified in the Order.
Shipment/Delivery
All shipments or deliveries shall be in accordance with the specified quantities (without shortage or excess), schedules (neither ahead of nor behind schedule), and other Order requirements. Seller shall promptly notify Buyer in writing of any anticipated or actual delay, including the reasons and actions being taken to overcome or minimize the delay.
Customer Furnished Material
All customer-furnished materials (including but not limited to blueprints, mylars, tooling, inspection gages, etc.) must be returned with the product upon order completion.
Identification and Lot Traceability
When specified in the Buyer’s purchase order, Seller shall control and maintain lot identification and traceability of product through suitable means from receipt through all stages of production and delivery, including review and acceptance of provided documents and materials.
Control of Changes
Seller shall not make any changes to product, process, suppliers, manufacturing facility location, or design details that would affect the product or any component part without prior written approval from Namebrand Aerospace.
Counterfeit Parts Prevention
Seller shall implement and maintain a counterfeit parts prevention program in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
Approved Suppliers
- Only customer-approved suppliers may be used by the Seller for processing Goods.
- Further subcontracting is prohibited unless approved in writing by Namebrand Aerospace, its customers, and regulatory agencies.
- If subcontracting is granted, Seller agrees to flow down all applicable requirements in the purchasing documents, including reference to Serial Numbers and/or Critical Characteristics where required.
Right of Entry
Seller shall grant Namebrand Aerospace, its customers, and regulatory agencies right of entry into the Seller’s facility to determine and verify the quality of work, records, and material at any time.
Control of Nonconforming Product
- Seller shall maintain a system that clearly identifies, documents, controls, and segregates nonconforming material.
- Shipment of goods containing nonconformities is prohibited until all Material Review Board (MRB) actions are properly completed.
- Seller shall:
- Maintain trend-based nonconformity level reporting for continuous improvement
- Take prompt and effective action to correct and prevent recurrence of any nonconformity, including those at Seller’s subcontractors
Quality Requirements
- Seller must comply with current industry quality standards:
- Manufacturing Sources: AS9100
- Material Sources: ISO 9000
- Testing and Calibration Laboratories: ISO 17025
- Exceptions must be approved by the Quality Manager.
- Seller shall:
- Maintain a quality system meeting basic requirements of MIL-I-45208A
- Ensure delivered products conform to purchase contract requirements
- Maintain controls and perform all required inspections and tests
- Contact Buyer in writing for resolution of any discrepancies between documents or materials
- Ensure employees are aware of their contribution to product/service conformity, product safety, and ethical behavior
Certifications
- Seller must verify all individual parameters within given specifications are met
- Certifications must reflect:
- All applicable manufacturing and process specifications from engineering drawing
- Pre-calibration condition
- Required tolerances
- Special processes to be used as stated on purchase order
- Specifications listed in proper sequence
- Critical sub-level referenced processes
Calibrated Items
Calibrated items must have certificates of compliance with:
- MIL-STD45662
- ANSI/NCSL Z540.1
- ISO 10012 All items must be traceable to NIST standards.
Records Retention
- Suppliers shall control and maintain records for a minimum of ten (10) years
- Records must be made accessible upon request
